APEC Business Counselling and Training and Accreditation Program

Time: 9 am to 5 pm
Date: Wednesday 14 th to Friday 16 th June 2006
Where: RMIT Building 108 Level 10 Room 20, RMIT Business, 239 Bourke St. Melbourne

This is the first time that the ICSB has supported the provision of training for enterprise facilitators. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) now has its own system of Certification for business facilitators. Canada has led the way with Chris Pelham and his team at Acadia University , Nova Scotia establishing an excellent model for achieving this Certification. Full APEC Accreditation in Australia can be obtained through the Adelaide Institute of TAFE.

The ICSB has agreed to support an APEC Accreditation training program that will take place immediately before the ICSB Melbourne Conference in June.


What do you achieve by attending?
Completion of the three day training program will mean you have achieved and will receive a certificate of attainment for the small business counselling units. These units will be accredited in Australia toward full APEC Certification.
These counselling units are: Ethics and Professionalism, Client Interaction and Business Facilitation.


Who will deliver the training?
Delivery will be by APEC Accredited trainers, David Byrne (Australia), Chris Pelham (Canada) and John Mercer from the Australian Institute of Enterprise Facilitators.

How much will the training cost?
Cost for the three days is $A400 and includes morning and afternoon teas, lunches and all materials.
